APIC is a multi-disciplinary voluntary international organization with over 10,000 members. Its purpose is to influence, support and improve the quality of healthcare through the practice and management of infection control and the application of epidemiology in all health settings.
Wisconsin APIC consists of four local chapters (Northeast, Northcentral, Southeast and Badger). Our membership includes approximately 300 health care professionals with expertise in employee health, public health and regulatory issues related to Infection Control. Local chapters meet regularly to network and provide education on issues related to infection control, epidemiology and patient safety. We encourage and assist our members to become Certified Infection Control Professionals. Wisconsin APIC works collaboratively to provide an annual seminar that encompasses the latest in scientific research and current trends.
